Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about buying, selling, and staying safe on mKisaan.
Is mKisaan free to use?
Creating an account and browsing listings is free. Listing fees or commissions, if any, will be shown clearly in the app before you publish.
How do I pay for produce?
Payment terms are agreed between buyer and seller (cash on pickup, UPI, etc.). mKisaan helps you discover listings, bid, and chat — confirm payment method in chat before collection.
What does “Verified farmer” mean?
Sellers can complete verification on mKisaan. We show a verified badge only when our team has approved their verification status. Unverified sellers can still list; always review listing details and chat before buying.
How does bidding work?
On supported listings you can place a bid at your offered price. The seller can accept, reject, or propose a counter price in chat. Status updates appear in your dashboard and notifications.
Can I buy without sharing my phone number publicly?
Yes. Use in-app chat while signed in instead of posting your number on listings.
Why does the app ask for location?
Optional GPS helps sort listings by distance. You can deny permission and still search by city or category.
How do I list my farm produce?
Sign in, open Start Selling in the dashboard, choose a category, and publish photos with rate and unit. Buyers near you can discover the listing in search and on the home feed.
Who do I contact for help?
Use our contact form for account, listing, or safety concerns. We respond as quickly as we can during business hours.
